OEM Sales Manager – Industrial Clamps/Metal Formation

Baltimore, MD area – US & Canada Territory

We are currently seeking an OEM Sales Manager for a Baltimore area client. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner and bring excellent prospecting skills to the company.

Responsibilities

  • Products sold would be a variety of hose clamps, as well as custom manufacturing in plastic injection molding, metal stamping and other metal forming services.
  • Oversee and coordinate all OEM sales activity
  • Coordinate the development of sales objectives
  • Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement
  • Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies
  • Prioritize new business targets
  • Responsible for identifying and cultivating business relationships
  • Build and form new partnerships with potential clients
  • Manage independent sales agents
  • Will have support from an in-house sales support team
  • Business development working with OEM / Manufacturing customers.
  • Managing an expense budget and a sales budget – forecasting.
  • Coordinate activities with a team of independent manufacturer reps including training, motivating, hiring/firing and communicating company activities and gaining market intel.
  • Participation in tradeshows for marketing and lead generation.
  • Account management – develop relationships with customer base and solve customer issues as well as identifying areas where we can support customers to also grow sales.
  • Develop strategies to focus efforts to markets, industries, and products that provide the most effective use of resources for sales growth
  • Plan and report activities using our Microsoft Dynamics CRM System
  • 30-40% travel would be required to visit current customers, appropriate prospects, and attend tradeshows and industry events

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business or Engineering or related field
  • Five or more years experience in sales, preferably in an industrial/hydraulic field
  • Proficient in using social media for prospecting
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • High energy
